From an early age, my passion for psychology and the desire to help others and study the human mind were deeply ingrained in me. Little did I know that fate had a different path in store. Nursing initially served as a backup plan, but it quickly became my sole focus.
My name is Florina, and this is my personal journey. In 2015, I made a life-altering decision to relocate to the UK and forge a career in nursing. With every shift I completed, my dedication and love for this profession grew stronger.
Over the span of 8+ years, I’ve developed an insatiable thirst for knowledge in the field, leading me down unexpected paths and imparting invaluable lessons along the way.
This year, however, I felt compelled to do more for my community and foster a supportive and empowering work environment for fellow nurses and healthcare workers. Thus, I founded NursHive, a nursing agency dedicated to providing the same level of dedication and support that I was fortunate enough to receive from the incredible managers I’ve worked with.
Additionally, I have a profound passion for raising awareness about mental health and breaking the stigma surrounding it. While we discuss mental health in theory, there is still much to learn about effectively managing and accepting it as an integral part of our lives. This cause has become deeply embedded within me, as I have personally faced challenges with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Taking that initial step towards seeking help should have been easier than it was.
My life’s mission is to spread positivity and utilize my talents and abilities to improve the lives of those around me. As a mother, my ultimate goal is to create a better world for my daughter, inspiring her to become an independent young woman with boundless potential.
